Delaware economic development head Alan Levin, Governor Jack Markell, and DNREC chief Collin O'Mara joined NRG Northeast President Drew Murphy at the Indian River Plant on November 30. The Governor and Secretary O'Mara praised NRG for its $360 investment in emissions controls, making Indian River one of the cleanest coal plants in the nation. They also noted that this investment is creating hundreds of local construction jobs, helping retain permanent jobs and allowing the plant to continue providing reliable electricity in Delaware.
